I know a couple comic artists live there (wait, now I can only think of one… and he’s moving to Toronto) and they’re opening a little Pixar studio. My friend goes to Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design and he and a bunch of his friends just got commissioned to do something awesome and it pays well and I’m jealous. That’s the extent of my knowledge of the animation industry in Vancouver.
I was doing all my narration for a couple strips in haiku format. But then I felt like having other text (in speech bubbles or annotations) took away from the simplicity. It was fun, though.
